Prince of Wales 3-pack: Oak aged 12 years - Supreme blend - Special reserve single malt Prince Charles’ was introduced to alcohol at a rather young age and quite by accident. He was a sea cadet with the naval equivalent of the Territorial Army at Gordonstoun School. It was 1964. He was just 16 years old and on Stornaway Island with some fellow cadets on an exercise. He suddenly became aware of some journalists on his tail and made good his escape by running off and seeking refuge in a pub. The landlord asked him what Charles would like to drink and he ordered a cherry brandy. Unfortunately a journalist was slumped in the seat beside Him. Two days later the story was all over Fleet Street and there was an inevitable and terrible row.

A 1987 vintage whisky from Nikka's Yoichi distillery, bottled in 2005 from a single cask. A Japanese single malt bottling from Nikka's flagship distillery in Hokkaido. Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, a former Suntory employee who had studied at the University of Glasgow, and later trained as a blender at the now lost Hazelburn distillery in Campbeltown.  Taketsuru opened the Yoichi distillery in the same year as establishing the company, modelling its pot stills on the long-necked design of the Longmorn stills in Speyside. In the 1950’s Michel Couvreur, originally from Belgium, began making wine in Burgundy. As a frequent traveller to Scotland selling wine, he fell in love with the Scottish way of life and its incredible whisky.

Aultmore 12 du Foggy Moss est souvent négligé par les amateurs de whisky et jugé simpliste. Mais, comme son nom l'indique, certaines de ses notes subtiles mais remarquables sont enveloppées de brume et de mystère. Il est assez différent de la plupart des autres whiskies du Speyside. Le nom "Aultmore" est dérivé d'un mot gaélique "An t-Allt Mor" qui signifie essentiellement "Big Burn". En ce qui concerne la partie « mousse brumeuse », il s'agit essentiellement d'un hommage à la zone où se trouve la distillerie, qui est généralement enveloppée d'un épais brouillard. Le brouillard est en effet connu pour être si dense et étendu qu'il recouvre non seulement la lande marécageuse où se dresse la distillerie, mais aussi le village environnant.

Named ‘World Whisky of the Year’ in Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible 2009. Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced Oog-a-dal) takes its name from the mysterious loch which supplies the peat-laden water used to make Ardbeg. Bottled at non-chill-filtered.

The Octomore 10 Years Single Malt Second Limited Edition belongs to the famous brand of the Bruichladdich distillery on the Scottish island of Islay. An international fan base is gathering around this brand, which is one of the most peated whiskies in the world. The Octomore 10 Year Old Single Malt Second Limited Edition comes with 167 ppm and – in contrast to a number of other bottles of this brand – is also provided with a rather high age specification. The guaranteed maturation period of 10 years also explains the higher price in this case. Another reason may be the limitation to 18,000 bottles, which are individually numbered. This bottle is one of the coveted collector’s bottles that an Octomore fan should put on the shelf in good time.

Islay’s oldest working distillery, Bowmore was established in 1779 and is now regarded as one of the most popular malts not only on Islay, but in the whole of Scotland. The distillery was acquired by Stanley P. Morrison in 1963, ushering in an era of iconic single malts, including the legendary Black Bowmore, credited by many as the genesis of whisky collecting, bottled in 1995. The distillery was bought under the control Suntory the year prior (they had been stakeholders since 1989), and it remains one of the most collectible brands in Scotch whisky today. Bowmore is one of the few remaining Scottish distilleries to use its own floor maltings, providing them with 40% of their requirements. Oban est située dans la ville portuaire du même nom dans les Highlands écossais, la distillerie est l'une des plus petites et des plus anciennes d'Ecosse. Depuis 1997, Oban remplit l'édition Distillers une fois par an, vieillie en fûts Montilla-Fino. Arôme : arômes clairement fruités avec un léger piquant, air marin salé et raisins juteux - derrière eux, orange et un peu de fumée Goût: plein et lourd en saveur avec de fines notes de fruits et de mer Finale : café frais et chêne épicé - suivi d'intenses notes de malt. Édition limitée.

La quatrième version de la série Creations de Cu Bocan a été vieillie dans une combinaison de fûts de Tawny Port et de Cognac, en clin d'œil au cocktail Antrim. Des arômes de confiture de prunes, de cerises glacées, de cannelle et de chocolat remplissent le nez, complétés par des notes de croissants frais, d'abricot et de poires cuites tout au long du palais.

Macallan 12 Years Sherry Oak Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky 40.0% Vol. - perfect old bottling from the early 2000s of a great Highland Single Malt! There is heat at the front and back of the picture. With greater complexity than the younger whiskies, this is a great whisky drinker’s whisky. Glenfarclas family bottled this at 46% simply because the grandfather preferred it at this strength. It’s still a family favourite.   In his 2007 Whisky Bible, Jim Murray gave Glenfarclas 15 Years Old a score of 95/100, one of the highest scores he has awarded.  

Springbank 12 Year Old Decanter 1980s Springbank distillery has been owned and operated by the Mitchell family in Campbeltown since 1837, and it one of Scotland's most revered distilleries. Following a brief mothballing between 1979 and 1987, upon the reopening the decision was taken to cease all sales to the blending industry and focus on its single malt sales. Today it is the only distillery to malt, distil, bottle and mature whisky on the same site, and produces three distinct and highly prized single malts.   A classic Springbank, this 12 year old was released in a black branded flagon decanter.

Yamazaki Distillers Reserve is a gold colored Japanese whiskey with a beautiful quality. In the nose fresh aromas emerge of strawberries and cherries followed by Japanese oak. You taste a real single malt with flavors of raspberry and peach accompanied by a hint of coconut. The whiskey closes with a sweet note of vanilla and cinnamon. It has an alcohol percentage of 43%

After numerous rounds and whiskies eliminated from the competition, an English Judge named Henry Hoctor stepped forward and proclaimed "Gentleman, the Gold Medal for the world's finest whiskey goes to Jack Daniel Distillery, Lynchburg not Virginia, but Lynchburg, Tennessee". In honour of this event, he designed a uniquely shaped bottle, filled it with his award-winning whiskey and gave it to the many people who were responsible for making his whiskey. He called the special bottle his Gold Medal Bottle. In the early 1970s, we released a replica of Mr Jack Daniel's special Gold Medal Bottle in the original half gallon size, which has become quite the collector's item. Caribbean Cask a été vieilli dans des fûts de whisky en chêne traditionnels pendant 14 ans, puis «fini» dans des fûts qui contenaient auparavant du rhum des Caraïbes. Pour créer la finition idéale, le maître de malt David Stewart a rempli des fûts de chêne américain avec son propre mélange de rhums antillais sélectionnés. Lorsqu'il a jugé que les fûts étaient prêts, le rhum a été remplacé par l'alcool de 14 ans et le bois a été mis au travail pour apporter la touche finale. Le résultat est un whisky single malt exceptionnel avec le caractère doux et miellé traditionnel de The Balvenie, marié à des notes de caramel et une pointe de fruit, avec une finale chaude et persistante.

L'une des plus anciennes distilleries en exploitation en Écosse - et la plus à l'est - Glen Garioch (prononcé Geery dans l'ancien dialecte dorique encore parlé dans ces régions) fabrique son puissant malt dans le bourg pittoresque et historique d'Oldmeldrum, près d'Aberdeen dans le nord Est de l'Écosse, depuis 1797. À l'abri des regards indiscrets du monde, au plus profond du fertile « grenier de l'Aberdeenshire », et uniquement produit en petits lots précieux, Glen Garioch est une perle rare, mais chaleureusement appréciée par ceux qui aiment un malt copieux des Highlands, non filtré à froid comme le veut la nature, avec un malt sain, une douceur mielleuse et une délicieuse texture crémeuse à savourer.

L'embouteillage signature de Bruichladdich est composé à 100 % d'orge écossaise. Créé par Jim McEwan, vieilli dans des fûts de chêne américain aux côtés de Lochindaal, et choisi pour représenter le style de distillerie classique et non tourbé.

La distillerie Springbank est l'un des derniers producteurs survivants de Campbeltown Single Malts. La distillerie, située au sud de la péninsule de Kintyre, produit trois types distincts de whisky écossais single malt. Springbank est l'une des deux seules distilleries d'Écosse à effectuer toutes les étapes du processus de fabrication du whisky, du maltage de l'orge à la mise en bouteille de l'alcool, dans les mêmes locaux : l'autre est la distillerie Kilchoman qui cultive également sa propre orge. Si quelques autres maintiennent encore la première étape du processus, le maltage de l'orge (qui se fait de plus en plus rare), Springbank embouteille également son propre whisky. Trois variantes de single malt sont produites à partir de sa distillerie en peaufinant le processus de production à différentes étapes; Le single malt Springbank est la variété la plus populaire, le single malt Longrow est un whisky hautement tourbé et distillé deux fois et le single malt Hazelburn, la variété la plus récente. Triple distillé à la distillerie de Springbank, le whisky single malt non tourbé de 12 ans d'âge d'Hazelburn est l'un des trois malts produits à la distillerie de Campbeltown.

Named after the skills passed down over the generations, this permanent addition to the range is matured in a combination of casks including first fill Sherry butts and quarter casks and is said to contain some of their "most precious stock".

Jack Daniel a chargé certains de ses meilleurs whisky et s'est rendu à Saint-Louis pour participer à l'exposition universelle ! Là, il se mêlerait aux distillateurs les plus célèbres du monde ! Après de nombreuses rondes et whiskies éliminés de la compétition, un juge anglais nommé Henry Hoctor s'est avancé et a proclamé "Gentleman, la médaille d'or du meilleur whisky du monde revient à la distillerie Jack Daniel, Lynchburg pas en Virginie, mais à Lynchburg, Tennessee". En l'honneur de cet événement, il a conçu une bouteille de forme unique, l'a remplie de son whisky primé et l'a offerte aux nombreuses personnes responsables de la fabrication de son whisky. Il a appelé la bouteille spéciale sa bouteille de médaille d'or. Au début des années 1970, nous avons sorti une réplique de la bouteille spéciale médaille d'or de M. Jack Daniel dans la taille originale d'un demi-gallon, qui est devenue un objet de collection. Célébrant le 100e anniversaire de la médaille d'or de Jack Daniel, ils ont réédité cette bouteille spéciale qui symbolise un événement important de l'histoire.

Bruichladdich The Organic 2009 est fabriqué à partir d'orge biologique. Le whisky incarne le paysage autour de la ferme locale Mid Could, d'où provient l'orge. La maturation a lieu dans des fûts de chêne américain et après une période de huit ans, le whisky est mis en bouteille. Le tirage est fixé à 50 000 bouteilles. Nez : orange, citron, floral, agrumes et épices. Goût: influences très crémeuses et claires de l'orge. Finale : mi-longue et chaleureuse.
