Meikle Tòir – The Sherry One 5 Year Old is a bold, heavily peated single malt crafted under the expertise of Billy Walker at The GlenAllachie Distillery. Despite its young age, this expression delivers exceptional depth thanks to full maturation in a mix of PX and Oloroso sherry casks, creating a richly layered combination of dark sweetness and robust smoke. Bottled at 48% ABV, natural colour and non-chill filtered, this whisky is packed with flavour: intense peat smoke, dried fruits, chocolate, and warm spice.
The Sherry One is proof that a young malt — when paired with exceptional casks and skilled wood management — can be remarkably complex and full-bodied.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich peat smoke, raisins, dates, leather, dark chocolate, espresso, and sweet sherry warmth.

Palate: Thick, smoky, and sweet with flavours of treacle, dark berries, charred oak, cocoa, sticky toffee, and warm spice. The PX casks bring luscious sweetness, while the Oloroso adds depth and nuttiness.

Finish: Long, smoky, and indulgent with lingering dried fruits, chocolate, oak spice, and glowing peat embers.
