The gin is matured in whiskey bourbon (the American whiskey) casks, with a short but intense maturation. This preserves the spiciness of the gin - it must remain a gin after all - but with an extra dimension. Just as with the first gin, gale plays the main role here and determines the spiciness of the gin.
