Elixir de Spa
Around the 17th century Elixir de Spa was distilled by monks of the "Kapucijnen" ordre in the Spa region. In 1858 a lokal distillery “Schaltin, Pierry et Cie” took over the production of this liquor, made out of at least 40 plants and herbs out of the same region. In 1956 Elixir de Spa was bought by F.X. de Beukelaer. Elixir de Spa is known for it's digestive characteristics. This herbal liqour is also great to make a nice cocktail or a delicious dish.
