As per the previous four batches of Balvenie Tun 1401, Malt Master David Stewart transferred specially selected casks from across the ages into a marrying tun. The rare casks then spent three months marrying together in the namesake Tun 1401. This batch is made up of nine constituent casks, comprising of 4 sherry butts, 3 bourbon hogsheads and 2 bourbon barrels.
