Octomore 13.3 is distilled from barley produced on the island of Islay, on a single farm, and it showcases the incredible strength of flavour that can be achieved by blending extremely strong peat with the varying harvests gathered from the island. This product is matured in a fundamental batch of first-fill ex-American whisky casks plus an additional selection of second-fill European oak casks from the Ribera del Duero and Rivesaltes regions of France and Spain.

While the American oak allows the spirit to take centre stage, the European oak provides a more subdued structure. Expect notes of brown sugar and vanilla offset by round, fresh notes of green fruit. As usual, the smoke is mild and dry, rising to a lingering finish with notes of creosote and sea mist.
