Oban is located in the homonymous harbor town in the Scottish Highlands, the distillery is one of the smallest and oldest in Scotland. Since 1997 Oban fills the Distillers Edition once a year, matured in Montilla-Fino barrels. Caribbean Cask has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create the ideal finish Malt Master David Stewart, filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. When he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches. The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish.  

One of the oldest operating distilleries in Scotland – and its most easterly – Glen Garioch (pronounced Geery in the ancient Doric dialect still spoken in these parts) has been making its mighty malt in the quaint and historic market town of Oldmeldrum, near Aberdeen in North East Scotland, ever since 1797. Shielded from the world’s prying eyes, deep in the fertile ‘Granary of Aberdeenshire’, and only ever produced in small, precious batches, Glen Garioch is a rare find indeed, but warmly appreciated by those who like a hearty Highland malt, non chill-filtered as nature intended, with a wholesome maltiness, honeyed sweetness and delicious creamy texture to savour.

Springbank distillery is one of the last surviving producers of Campbeltown Single Malts. The distillery, located on the southern Kintyre peninsula, produces three distinct types of single malt Scotch whisky. Springbank is one of only two distilleries in Scotland to perform every step in the whisky making process, from malting the barley to bottling the spirit, on same premises: the other is Kilchoman Distillery who also grow their own barley. While a few others still maintain the first step in the process, the malting of barley (which is becoming more rare), Springbank also bottles their own whisky. Three variants of single malt are produced from its distillery by tweaking the production process at various stages; Springbank Single Malt is the most popular variety, Longrow Single Malt is a highly-peated, double-distilled whisky and Hazelburn Single Malt, the newest variety. Triple distilled at the Springbank distillery, Hazelburn's 12 year old unpeated single malt whisky is one of three malts produced at the distillery in Campbeltown.

Glenfiddich Grande Couronne 26 Years is a limited and quite unique Single Malt Whisky. Glenfiddich 26 y Grande Couronne is a masterful whiskey for lovers of luxury single malt in general and of course fans of Glenfiddich whiskey in particular. The Grand Couronne has been developed to toast the good moments in life. Pure craftsmanship of the highest order and thanks to Glenfiddich aged 26 years. The basis of the character of the Glenfiddich Grande Couronne is laid by a very long maturation in American and European oak barrels, followed by a 2-year finish in ex-cognac casks (presumably Remy Martin). Aromatic and lively in scent with nice aromas of sweets and toasted oak. Silky smooth flavors immediately stand out on the palate. Sweets, notes of café crème, brown sugar and a hint of spices complement each other and lead to a long, sweet aftertaste in which oak influences can also be found. Glenfiddich Grande Couronne is presented in a beautiful box that rotates and presents the bottle in a beautiful way.
