A recipe with a particularly high single Malt content of 47% was chosen for the Blended Scotch White Heather. The Blend of Single Malt and Grain whiskies comes from different regions in Scotland. The Highlands, Islay and Speyside are represented. As varied as the regions in which the Blend is blended are the types of casks used for maturation. These range from first-fill American oak casks, sherry butts and second-fill hogsheads for pre-maturation to Pedro Ximénez puncheons, Oloroso puncheons and American Virgin Oak casks for post-maturation.
