Glenallachie 13 Year Old Madeira Wood Finish, part of the Wood Finish range, combines the best of the refined Glenallachie house style with that of an after ageing in ex-Madeira casks. After more than 10 years of maturing in American oak, the whisky was transferred to casks which previously held madeira made from malvasia grapes. Here the Glenallachie 13 years matured for several more years to be finally filled.
The result is a sensation for the senses in which notes of vanilla, apricots, banana, almonds, peach and pineapple can be found in the aroma. Syrupy flavours of fruit, vanilla, pineapple and almonds complement each other on the palate.
