Blended
As the word suggests, blended whisky is a blend or mixture of two or more whiskies. These are bottled together and then sold as 1 whisky. Distilleries do this so that the qualities of different whiskies can reinforce each other. In addition, it is often cheaper to produce. It does not matter whether the whisky comes from different distilleries or just one. Most blends consist of single grain whisky mixed with several malt whiskies.
