House of McCallum Caol Ila 10 Year Old

Distilled in 2010, Caol Ila 10 Year Old Single Malt is a peated whisky typical of the whiskies produced on Islay. Selected by House of McCallum, this 10 year old Caol Ila has been aged in Hogshead ex-Bourbon. This Islay single malt reveals a nose where delicate smoke mingles with sea spray. Citrus fruits quickly come to the fore.  The palate is obviously peaty.  It reveals a dry smoke that envelops flavours of orange biscuits.  The finish is pastry-like, the lemon meringue pie becomes ashy.
