Tamdhu 1971 The Macphail's Collection is an amber Speyside Single malt distilled in 1971 and bottled in 2011. Its lively aroma features notes of sultanas immersed in creamy vanilla and surrounded by the sultry notes of tropical fruit. Its flavour is creamy on the palate that slowly builds to a firm bite of black pepper and chocolate peanuts. It is rounded off by a very present finish of vanilla with subtle notes of mango.

Nose: The nose is alive with sultanas and vanilla with fresh cut flowers and tropical fruits to boot. Palate: The mouth-feel is creamy but gains a little bite with time whilst the flavour is of chocolate peanuts and black pepper. Finish: Vanilla rides out the finish with subtle notes of mango appearing here and there. A smooth whisky with a tropical flavour profile.
