Mount Gay XO Triple Cask Strength Limited Edition
The cask strength limited edition of Mount Gay rum 1703 was launched in a limited edition of 5,000 bottles worldwide. This is to celebrate Barbados' 50 years of independence. Barbados is considered the birthplace of rum. Presented in a beautiful case with magnetic closure. Each bottle carries a unique number, as it should. Furthermore, the new owner also receives a stylish booklet with the rum. The rum was bottled straight from the barrel without dilution. Wonderful complexity full of life and fine aromas. 1703 is Mount Gay's flagship rum. The name refers to the year 1703 when the distillery first started distilling. At Mount Gay, they now have more than 300 years of experience in producing rum.
Master blender Allen Smith selects strains aged between 10 and 30 years old for the 1703 rum. The result is a fine rum with the necessary complexity. Mount Gay 1703 has fine aromas of vanilla, spices, caramel, wood and ripe exotic fruits such as mango, banana and pineapple. The island of Barbados enjoys a tropical climate and has a porous clastic soil that gives the water extra filtration. The quality of sugar cane here is sublime, so it is logical that the rum produced in Barbados is among the best in the world. Because they use reasonable aged rums, the sweetness weakens a little and gives way to mature aromas. This is a wonderful after-dinner rum that is easy to drink with a strong cigar.
