Glencadam 13 Year Old Sauternes Wine Cask Finish is a golden-colored single malt whisky from the Highland region of Scotland. It was allowed to mature for 13 years on ex-bourbon made from American oak. Then another finish on Sauternes wine casks, this yielded a total of 3042 bottles. It features a spicy aroma surrounded by soft marmalade and poached pears infused with acacia honey, peach blossoms and yellow fruits. Its flavor features multiple layers of baked peaches and dried mango situated on a thick layer of honey. You will also find notes of chocolate-covered oranges and lemon cake. It is clearly strong in citrus with further notes of tangerine on top. The whole is rounded off by an aftertaste filled with apple compote and hints of agave nectar. Along with sugared fruit peels and various spices.
