Jack Daniel's 1904 Gold Medal Replica Bottle - 100th anniversary 150 cl
A Special Limited Edition Bottling from Jack Daniel's. In 1904, Mr Jack Daniel loaded some of his best whiskey and travelled to St. Louis to compete at the world's fair! There he would mingle with the world's most famous distillers! After numerous rounds and whiskies eliminated from the competition, an English Judge named Henry Hoctor stepped forward and proclaimed "Gentleman, the Gold Medal for the world's finest whiskey goes to Jack Daniel Distillery, Lynchburg not Virginia, but Lynchburg, Tennessee".
In honour of this event, he designed a uniquely shaped bottle, filled it with his award-winning whiskey and gave it to the many people who were responsible for making his whiskey. He called the special bottle his Gold Medal Bottle.
In the early 1970s, we released a replica of Mr Jack Daniel's special Gold Medal Bottle in the original half gallon size, which has become quite the collector's item. Celebrating Jack Daniel's 100th anniversary of winning the gold medal they re-released this special bottle which symbolizes an important event in history.
